Order picking.
The last manual process
in an automated warehouse.

The demands on intralogistics are constantly increasing. A shortage of skilled workers makes it difficult to fill open positions, while rising order volumes require ever-higher picking performance. At the same time, costs and manual processes are putting pressure on productivity and scalability. Added to this are picking errors, which result in additional work and avoidable costs. Nevertheless, in many warehouses, order picking remains the last manual process to this day.

The picking robot that adapts to your process.

Whether mobile, stationary or fully integrated – LUKE adapts to your requirements and integrates seamlessly into existing warehouse and SAP processes.

Automate rather than manage staff shortages.

LUKE reliably handles repetitive picking tasks round the clock. This ensures consistent picking performance, reduces the workload on your staff and frees up capacity for value-adding activities.

Greater performance for rising order volumes.

A patented Rotary Gripper and integrated tool changer reduce the need for gripper changes and enable fast, flexible handling of a wide variety of items – for a noticeably higher picking performance.

Flexible integration. Easy to scale.

Thanks to its plug-and-play design, LUKE can be quickly integrated into existing goods-to-person workstations, flexibly retrofitted and expanded at any time as demand increases.

Precision with every pick.

Intelligent image processing and integrated sensors reliably detect items, their position and orientation, check every pick and identify faulty items whilst they are still in the source container – ensuring maximum process and picking reliability.

More than just robotics. Fully integrated intralogistics.

With IGZ, you don’t just get a picking robot, but a fully integrated solution for your SAP-controlled material flow – from intelligent image processing and robotics to end-to-end process control.

Integration

Integrated, not just connected!

Robotics only reaches its full potential when it is seamlessly integrated into your processes. With IGZ, you don’t get a standalone solution, but a fully integrated, flexibly scalable pick-by-robot solution – from hardware and image processing to direct SAP integration.

Seamlessly integrated into SAP EWM.

Robotics is integrated directly into your SAP-controlled material flow – without additional middleware or complex interfaces. SAP EWM takes over the central control of all processes and provides maximum transparency regarding material flow, robotics, and warehouse management.

A comprehensive, end-to-end solution from a single source.

From robotics to image processing and gripping technology to software and process integration – IGZ provides all components as a comprehensive, end-to-end solution. This eliminates any boundaries of responsibility between different manufacturers and ensures a perfectly coordinated process.

Maximum uptime during operation.

Maintenance and service are also designed to ensure uninterrupted warehouse operations. Thanks to the mobile design, maintenance work can be performed while the order-picking process continues seamlessly, if necessary, with employees or at alternative workstations.

Future-proof and scalable.

Start with a single robotic unit and expand your solution step by step as your requirements grow. Thanks to its modular architecture and plug-and-play design, Pick-by-Robot grows flexibly with your processes.

The result: maximum process reliability, consistently high picking performance, and seamless integration into your SAP-controlled material flow.

Picks per hour

up to 550

100% control thanks to the patented Rotary Gripper

The rotatable suction unit enables the handling of a wide range of items without changing grippers. This increases efficiency and maximises flexibility in the order-picking process.

Precise object recognition through AI-supported image processing

Intelligent camera technology captures the position, orientation and alignment of each item. Thanks to 3D tracking, LUKE continuously adjusts its movements to ensure the highest picking accuracy.

More than just pick & place.

During order picking, LUKE calculates the optimal plain pattern for each container. This ensures better utilisation of space, stable containers and more efficient downstream processes.

Our Pick-by-Robot system can do much more:

Wide range of possible workstations.

The LUKE 4 can be easily retrofitted to existing workstations. There is no need for complex robotic cells or conveyor systems. Consequently, the space required is equivalent to a person’s range of movement.

Any questions about Pick-by-Robot? Everything you need to know, explained briefly.

Automated order picking raises many questions – from integration into existing processes to cost-effectiveness and scalability. Here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about Pick-by-Robot.

Every picking process has different requirements. Together, we analyze your product structure, picking performance, material flows, and warehouse processes, and assess whether and to what extent LUKE can be implemented cost-effectively. This provides you with a solid basis for making decisions about your automation.

Pick-by-Robot can be integrated into both new and existing warehouse environments. The solution is particularly well-suited for goods-to-person systems, but thanks to its plug-and-play design and flexible integration, it can also be retrofitted to existing workstations. We will work with you to assess the specific requirements as part of a process analysis.

Pick-by-Robot is suitable for a wide variety of items in terms of shape, size, and packaging type. Thanks to intelligent image processing, flexible gripping technology, and automatic tool changing, a wide range of products can be reliably recognized and handled. We would be happy to assess the suitability of your product range based on real-world use cases.

The achievable picking performance depends, among other factors, on the item, the gripping strategy, and the process environment. With LUKE, picking rates of up to 550 picks per hour are possible. Together, we’ll determine the optimal configuration for your specific application.

New or modified items can be quickly integrated into the process using intelligent image processing and deep learning algorithms. The system reliably identifies different items and supports automatic classification as well as the maintenance of relevant master data. This ensures that pick-by-robot remains flexible and future-proof, even with changing product assortments.

The payback period depends on factors such as picking volume, shift schedule, labor costs, and the degree of automation. In many applications, the reduction in manual tasks, greater process stability, and consistent picking performance contribute to a quick return on investment. We would be happy to calculate the potential for your specific application.
